1: Minimization of Material Waste

Using product bands to label or to bundle products together minimizes material waste and cost, as the bands are much thinner than pressure-sensitive labels plastic, or cardboard alternatives. In fact, banding can cut wasted material costs by up to 20% and labor costs even higher!

This material waste not only contributes to pollution in landfills across the world, it also costs manufacturers excessive amounts of money to cover the cost of raw materials.

For example, printed banding materials are great way to brand your product on the shelf with ample space for nutritional/product information, promotions, and any other consumer messages. MDO PETg bands, on the other hand, are ideal for bundling heavy packages (weighing up to 10 kg) that lighter banding materials are not able to manage.

3: Adaptability

Beyond the ability to customize any banding system to fit your product lines, banding machines are highly adaptable in their applications. When banding a stack of products, the banding machine pulls the banding material until it reaches a desired tension and seals the band around the circumference of the bundle.

Let’s say you are bundling a multi-pack that is three packages stacked together and wanted to switch to bundling only two packages together. The banding machine would make that adjustment instantly, simply by pulling the banding material tightly around the newly created two pack.

In this instance, there would be no additional work or resources required except simply changing the amount of products being placed in the Bandall system. Since the bands are so thin, a production line can band up to 4000 products before having to change the band roll. A trained operator is able to do this in 3 minutes and the production line resumes with minimal downtime.
